Senate assent

On May 30, the Senate passed a resolution. agreed to the WTP. The WTP will enter into force on 1 July 2023. We now have 3.5 years to adapt our pension schemes to the new legislation, until 1 January 2028 at the latest.

Information sessions on the future of our pension

For employees only: Shell organises information meetings for all employees about the future of our pension.

1 July 2023

Future pensions Act in force

The WTP will come into force.

From 1 July 2023

Start consultation with COR at Shell

Shell and the Central Works Council are discussing the necessary adjustments to the Shell pension schemes. This already started on an informal basis in 2022.

VOEKS information sessions

The Association of Shell Pensioners and Former Employees (VOEKS) hold information sessions to discuss the future of pensions at Shell with former members.
January 2024

Start next phase

Shell Netherlands and the COR have made good progress and are starting the phase in which VOEKS will exercise the right to be heard through the Hearing Rights Committee (the VHC).
12 May 2024

VOEKS report received

The VHC has sent the report to Shell NL and the COR. They will now consider it and finalize the transition plan. The proposal will be submitted to the COR for approval.
30 May 2024

Consent  request

The Central Staff Committee agreed to the proposed changes to the pension schemes.
25 June 2024

Decision by Shell Netherlands

Shell NL has made a decision on the new pension arrangements and transitional measures.
1 July 2024

Transition plans sent

The transition plan details the agreements and provides background information.
